I have been “blogging” since 2000. More precisely, I started an online column back before we knew what blogs were, which later became my first blog at semitrue.com.

I am going through some of those old posts and unarchiving them in preparation for combining all my writings into a single site. While doing so, I am unearthing some pieces that I have forgotten, such as this one from December of 2002. Trent Lott was all over the media apologizing for statements that he made about Strom Thurmond. It may no longer be topical, but I still think it’s funny. Judge for yourself:
